Day 40: Contemplation - Tarot of Life

The basic teachings are interspersed in all these 40 Days talks so one card doesn't really encompass all of it but helps to focus on a key part of it. One representative Tarot of Life card will be selected for each of the Day's talks and posted. When you read the meanings of the card and compare it to the Day's talk it brings new insights into the teaching. You will see what part of it Guruji is focusing on and what part he is expanding.

“You have only so many seconds of life in the physical body and it is important

that you fulfill the purpose for which you have come into this world

which is, of course,

not just to have babies and to survive

by working in the world for food and shelter –

and your body was not meant just to pleasure it.

You have a higher purpose

and only when you begin to fulfill your higher purpose

will you begin to feel fulfilled in your inner being.”
